Festival Summary
One of Glasgow's premier community festivals and now a well-established favourite throughout the city, the West End street party festival takes place in an area with a rich, cosmopolitan mix of tenement houses, roaming streets, surrounded by abundant parks and open spaces. This, coupled with the fact that the area is home to one of the largest concentration of students in the city, makers for a very pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere. Up to 100,000 people attend events during the festival's fortnight run, including upwards of 40,000 at the big opening day parade. Attractions during the festival includes:

- allotment open days
- cake stalls
- guided tours of St Lukes Greek Orthodox Church
- local history taster sessions
- barbecue and family fun days
