Festival Summary

The Merchant City is Glasgow’s rejuvenated arts and cultural area and consists of a compact grid of  streets in Trongate, near Glasgow Cross. It is home to a wide range of busy restaurants, bars, designer retail outlets, arts and cultural venues, and media companies.

This annual, bustling arts and entertainment festival plays out in almost 70 venues, including outdoor locations and a stage between Wilson Street and Bell Street. A packed, four-day programme includes theatre, comedy, film, food, music and exhibitions in a repertoire of about 300 events.

Various venues in Merchant City.

Merchant City is 1km (0.6 miles) east of Glasgow Central Station. The area includes the Tron Theatre, The Edge, Traders Hall, Collins Gallery and Ramshorn Theatre.
