Glasgow International (Gi Festival)

11th-27th April 2008

Festival Summary

Glasgow international - the Gi Festival - is Glasgow’s premier festival for presenting internationally-renowned works in the field of visual arts. The Gi Festival intends to provide a showcase of contemporary visual arts, featuring newly-commissioned work by established artists, in addition to new work by emerging talent, presented in fresh and innovative ways  across the city.

Gi hosts exhibitions, seminars, artists' talks and events, specially developed for the Gi Festival. The festival is the main event in the Scotland's cultural calendar for attracting significant international curators and collectors to this country.

Under the curatorship of Francis McKee, 2008 sees Gi Festival evolve into its new biennial format.
